Scouting, Sailing the Florida Keys
Spirit of Independence has been privileged to teach seamanship and sailing to 1000’s of Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Venture Scouts, and Sea Scouts. We have cooked in the rain, rescued people, snorkeled shipwrecks. when sailing for no reason its a cruise, sailing for a purpose its a voyage, when everything goes wrong its an ADVENTURE aboard Spirit our scouts have experienced all 3.

Captain Ricky Sailing 51 years as captain aboard Schooners, yachts, Shrimp boats, towboats, tour boats. Ricks heart has always been Schooners Ricky is very grateful for a great crew, aboard a great ship, sailing out of a magic port Schooner Wharf Key West, and for being part of this Beautiful world
Capitana Dayana
Dayana is the whole package ! When she isn't sailing Spirit she might be found sailing her large sailing yacht " Duet" around the Caribbean Or upgrading Spirit's engine systems. Dayana is the heart of Spirit Of Independence. If you want to know anything, Just ask Dayana

Coming from a family of yacht captains Liz is a natural. Licensed captain, great friend, great sailor always upbeat, When not sailing Spirit Liz can be found as captain aboard Java Cat sailing backcountry & Dolphin tours

Rachel is more than just a licensed captain, great sailor, great friend, she has an eye for detail that makes our cruise fantastic ! When not sailing Spirit Rachel manages luxury yacht After Hours
