Troops and crews from Boy Scouts Of America / Scouting BSA / Venture Scouts / Sea Scouts / Girl Scouts have all sailed the Florida Keys aboard Schooner Spirit Of Independence every summer since 2012. The scouting program is a great organization that we are proud to be part of! Each summer, we take groups out to sea for a week-long adventure. We snorkel the third largest coral reef in the world, explore underwater shipwrecks, and hoist and trim the sails – all while living aboard the ship. In the past we have rescued people in distress at sea, cooked in the rain, slept on deck under the stars, and anchored overnight off tropical islands. We say these trips are “youth-led adventures” so it’s up to the scouts to make our voyage the adventure of a lifetime. Safety is the number one priority, while still engaging in high seas fun.

When sailing for no reason it’s called cruise. When sailing for a purpose it’s a voyage. When everything goes wrong… it’s an ADVENTURE!!!
