Coming from a family of yacht captains Liz is a natural. Licensed captain, great friend, great sailor always upbeat, When not sailing Spirit Liz can be found as captain aboard Java Cat sailing backcountry & Dolphin tours.
When Joanne isn’t sailing Spirit she is captain aboard some of Key West greatest schooners, ask her to tell some of her thrilling stories.
Hanna is our onboard marine biologist. When she isn’t sailing Spirit she is captain on the Key West college marine science boat, or captain aboard coral reef sailing Boy Scouts around FL keys.
Lenka’s sailing journey began aboard the Schooner Spirit of Independence in late 2022. What started as her first time ever on a sailboat quickly became a passion after Captain Elizabeth introduced her to life on the water. Following a summer of crewing and learning aboard boats in Chicago in 2023, Lenka returned to Key West, where Captain Ricky welcomed her to the Spirit crew. She brings a warm smile, positive attitude, and genuine enthusiasm for sailing to every trip. Lenka loves meeting people from around the world and helping guests create unforgettable memories on the water.
